Had some bonding time with my Caramia (her name translates to “my dear” in Italian) in North Beach, “Little Italy,” of San Francisco.  North Beach is a cute quaint neighborhood lined with sidewalk cafes and indie boutiques.  Whenever we’re in the neighborhood, we tend  to head over to Al’s Attire.  Al is a tailor and a cobbler and a step in his store, is like stepping back into a bygone era of a time when you went to the tailor and cobbler to get your clothing and shoes tailored to your sizing and liking.  I plan on going back to get my husband custom made loafers for a gift, which will be fun for him because he can help with the design process.  Custom made items sound pricey, but Al’s rates are reasonable.  We also like to stop by the historic Italian coffee shop, Cafe Trieste  for the best white mochas and hot cocoa topped with fresh whipped cream.  North Beach appeals to both tourists and locals, so it can be fun to people watch and hang out.  I like walking the hilly streets and checking out the scenery all around.

Fluently lived,

K & CM
